Physiotherapy
We take a global approach to your injury/condition and get right to the root of the issue. We learn all about you, we watch you move and we feel your movements to determine exactly where your limitations stem from. We take those findings and develop an individualized treatment plan that incorporates hands on techniques, targeted individualized exercises, acupuncture/dry needling, taping and tons of education so that you understand your condition best.

With extensive experience in physiotherapy, our senior therapists are highly skilled in advanced techniques such as manual therapy and dry needling. Their approach focuses on understanding the primary source of your injury or condition, combining expert clinical reasoning, and high-quality care to help you achieve success. By carefully assessing your movement and limitations, they create a personalized treatment plan. Senior therapists, with their advanced credentials, collaborate closely with you to help achieve your specific goals.
Chiropractic
We don't just focus on back care, we are experts of the entire body. We analyze how your body moves and functions and we determine the root cause of your specific injury/condition. We take the time to learn about you and your lifestyle and combine that information with our physical assessment findings to develop an individualized and targeted treatment plan. Your treatment will include the right combination of hands on techniques, ART, acupuncture, taping and corrective exercise in addition to educating you about your condition.
Massage Therapy
We take massage therapy to a new level. We have the experience required to manage complex injuries and have the healing hands necessary to settle down your tense muscles. Your massage will help you to relax, reduce pain, decrease inflammation in your soft tissues, increase blood circulation and speed up healing of your injured tissues. When required we will work together with other practitioners in the clinic to elevate your care.
Massage Therapy: TMJ (Jaw), Neck, Head & Face Focused Treatment
Our specialized massage targets the muscles of the jaw, face, and neck to relieve pain and improve mobility. This treatment can help with jaw pain, headaches, clenching, grinding, clicking or popping jaws, ear ringing (tinnitus), facial pain, and neck or shoulder tension. Using techniques like intra-oral massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release, we reduce muscle tightness, improve jaw range of motion, and other symptoms associated with jaw pain/dysfunction. When needed, we collaborate with other practitioners to ensure you get the most comprehensive care possible.

Naturopathic Medicine
We use natural therapies to help you regain optimal health. We take the time to learn about your health and your lifestyle to gain a deeper understanding of how your body is functioning. With this information we will develop an individualized action plan that can be easily integrated into your current lifestyle. The natural interventions utilized in your care may include botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, counselling techniques, homeopathic medicine, lifestyle modifications & Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
We have specialized training and an in-depth knowledge of the pelvic region and how it relates to the entire body. We are trained in the assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor, a series of muscles, ligaments and fascia that sit like a basin at the bottom of your pelvis. These pelvic floor structures help to support your abdominal and pelvic organs, form a part of the inner core muscles and help with bladder, bowel and sexual function. Our techniques may include internal pelvic floor release, biofeedback to assist in strengthening, external hands on therapy, corrective exercise strategies, lifestyle modification suggestions and education so that you can carry on treatment at home.
Osteopathy
Our Osteopathic Manual Practitioner looks for anatomical asymmetries that can interfere with the function of proper bodily systems, creating pain or distress. Through a comprehensive assessment, they will look for the root cause of dysfunction and use a range of approaches to treat them. Their techniques include hands-on osteoarticular mobilizations, myofascial release, cranial-sacral techniques and visceral (organ) manipulation. Their approach is gentle, comprehensive and uses a different lens than a traditional Physiotherapy or Chiropractic model of care.
TCM Acupuncture
At Rebalance, our registered acupuncturists don't just focus on the disease, injury or diagnosis. Instead, they utilize a more holistic approach investigating your body as a whole, looking at your body systems as well as your mental and emotional health. Your Rebalance acupuncturists will conduct a detailed assessment to determine which areas may need focus to restore balance and stimulate more optimal functioning. Once your registered acupuncturist has determined the areas that require focus, they will utilize a variety of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) modalities including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and more in order to naturally restore harmony within your body and stimulate the nervous system to do the work it needs to do for healing. Acupuncture treatment involves inserting fine, sterile needles to specific anatomical points. Insertion of the needles can be used to promote circulation of blood and oxygen, to stimulate the nerves and nervous system, clear energy pathway blockages and is also used activate an immune response to aid in tissue healing. With almost no significant side-effects, acupuncture has gained significant popularity in Western medicine for the treatment of many health-related issues. This approach is gentle, safe and highly effective.
Concussion Rehabilitation
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that occurs when a blow, jolt or impact to the head or the body causes the brain to move rapidly back and forth within the skull. This movement can lead to a disruption in normal brain function resulting in various symptoms such as confusion, dizziness, memory loss, headache and altered consciousness. Injury around the neck, including ligament and muscle injury, as well as to the vestibular system may also occur with concussions leading to a complex symptom picture.
Concussion Rehabilitation at Rebalance is offered by skilled and specialized Physiotherapists or Chiropractors who have advanced knowledge in this field of practice. Using an evidence based, client centred approach, our Physiotherapists or Chiropractors will design an individualized rehabilitation program that will focus not just on your symptoms but on addressing you as a whole person, which may include addressing the neck, thoracic spine and vestibular symptoms.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a type of physiotherapy which aims to alleviate symptoms caused by vestibular disorders. Signs and symptoms include: Vertigo (spinning in the environment); Dizziness; Imbalance or disequilibrium; Blurry or bouncy vision; Nausea; Hearing changes; And problems with coordination, thinking, and/or memory.
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of physical therapy that focusses on alleviating symptoms caused by disorders of the vestibular system. The vestibular system is a complex network of structures within the inner ear and brain that contributes to our sense of balance and spatial awareness. Vestibular rehabilitation is designed to address issues related to vertigo, dizziness, imbalance, nausea, blurry or bouncy vision and other symptoms arising from dysfunction of the vestibular system.
At Rebalance, our specialized Vestibular therapists have advanced training in the assessment and treatment of the vestibular system. Your Vestibular therapist will work with you to reduce your symptoms through targeted exercises and evidence based maneuvers. These exercises aim to enhance the brains ability to adapt to changes in the vestibular system and improve overall stability and coordination. Our approach is individualized, evidence based and proven to promote long term improvement in your symptoms.
Physical Medicine
We are medical doctors who have specialized training in the field of Physical Medicine and other related sub-specialities. At our first meeting, we will gather information about you and your condition and then perform a physical examination. This will help us determine a diagnosis and provide you with management options for your condition. If required, we will refer you for treatment, recommend further testing or provide medical treatments such as pharmaceuticals and/or injection therapies.
Fitness Pilates
We are not just Pilates instructors, we are exercise specialists and understand how the muscular system works to support your postures and functional demands. We will coach you through challenging sequences and help you become aware of your compensation strategies. Your sessions of guided exercise will be specific to your needs and goals. You will use specialized equipment including the Pilates reformer, stability balls, TRX, myofascial release tools, fitness circles, resistance bands and weights. Your body will feel energized after your session and you will notice improved breathing, better posture and more awareness of your core muscles.
